VIBRA3D – An interactive 3D SDOF System animator
Version 1.0.0 (16.8 KB) by
Peter Horvath
Interactive MATLAB tool for visualizing 3D single-degree-of-freedom vibrations with real-time parameter updates.
Overview
VIBRA3D is an interactive MATLAB program developed for educational purposes.
It visualizes the dynamic behavior of a single-degree-of-freedom system in 3D.
Users can adjust mass, stiffness, damping, initial conditions, and excitation parameters, and watch the vibration, displacement-time graph, and resonance curve update in real time.
Key Features
- Interactive 3D SDOF system visualization
- Real-time parameter modification via mouse scroll wheel
- Displacement-time graph and resonance curve display
- Excitation frequency control to observe resonance effects
- Smooth animation and responsive graphical feedback
Installation & Usage
Add the VIBRA3D folder to the MATLAB path and run `launcher.m`.
Select a model from the dropdown menu, start the animation with the play button and adjust parameters in the input table with mouse scroll wheel.
