imswrite: Export Multi-Dimensional Images to Imaris IMS
Version 1.0.0 (8.7 KB) by
Nicolas Liaudet
Save 3D+T multi-channel MATLAB image stacks to Imaris IMS files with metadata, channels, and time info.
IMSWRITE allows MATLAB users to export multi-dimensional image stacks (Y×X×Z×T) with multiple channels
into Imaris-compatible .ims files. The function automatically handles pyramidal resolution levels,
channel metadata, histograms, optional thumbnails, and temporal information. Supported data types: uint8,
uint16, and single precision. Metadata validation ensures proper dimensions, channel consistency,
spatial and temporal resolution, and correct time point intervals. Ideal for bioimaging and scientific
image analysis workflows.
