Interactive app for predicting bandgaps in locally resonant metamaterials using analytical models.
This MATLAB app provides an intuitive interface for predicting bandgap frequencies in locally resonant metamaterials, such as meta-truss structures. The tool is based on analytical modelling techniques, including the single-resonator spring-mass model, dispersion relations, and effective mass/stiffness theory. Users can input stiffness parameters to evaluate wave propagation characteristics and visually inspect dispersion curves, transmissivity, and effective dynamic properties.
