Full wave uncontrolled rectifier with RL load
Version 1.0.0 (35.9 KB) by
Abdelrahman Farghly
A Full-Wave Uncontrolled Rectifier with an RL Load converts an AC input into a pulsating DC output using diodes.
Working Principle
- During the positive half cycle, diodes D1 and D2 conduct.
- During the negative half cycle, diodes D3 and D4 conduct.
- The output voltage is always positive due to rectification.
- The inductor causes a delay in current rise/fall, leading to smoother output current compared to a purely resistive load.
- There is a phase difference between voltage and current due to inductance.
