A Dual Active Bridge (DAB) converter is a high-frequency isolated DC-DC converter widely used in EV chargers, renewable energy systems.
tep-by-Step Setup1. Input Side
- Use DC Voltage Source
- Connect to a Full-Bridge Inverter (Universal Bridge) using IGBTs or MOSFETs
- Use a Phase Shift PWM Generator for control
2. Transformer
- Use an ideal transformer or a physical transformer model
- Ensure isolation and set turns ratio (e.g., 1:1, or for step-up/down)
3. Output Side
- Use another Full-Bridge Inverter (acting as rectifier)
- Connect to DC filter capacitor and load (or battery)
4. Control Strategy
- Implement a phase-shift controller:
- Shift output bridge gate signals relative to the input
