Why Use Neural Network Control?
Traditional control (like PID) works well for linear, time-invariant systems, but a boost converter is:
  • Nonlinear (due to switching)
  • Time-varying (with load/voltage changes)
  • Affected by parameter uncertainties (like ESR, inductance drift, etc.)
A neural network can:
  • Learn the system behavior from data
  • Handle nonlinearity and unmodeled dynamics
  • Provide fast, adaptive control
