Extended Stability Margin
Version 1.1.1 (1.73 MB) by
Leonardo Kammer
Closed-loop extended stability margin of linear time-invariant systems.
The extended stability margin is a novel metric for calculation of stability margin for both multivariable (MIMO) and scalar (SISO) systems. A detailed description of this stability margin is provided in the article "The Extended Stability Margin", which is included in the Proceedings of the 2025 American Control Conference.
The first version of the attached file matches the extended stability margin, as presented at the ACC conference, which is based on the relative gain array of the loop tranfer matrices. Recent improvements in the methodology for assessment of stability margin of multivariable systems led to the revised version of the attached file. A new article is being prepared to cover this improved methodology. Feel free to reach out to me in LinkedIn, if you would like to discuss this topic.
