Two-Blocks in Touch

A 1D finite difference transient heat conduction model with TDMA algorithm.

You are now following this Submission

A 1D finite difference heat conduction model was developed to represent the effects of thermophysical properties on the transient heat transfer inside two blocks in touch. Harmonic mean thermal conductivity was defined at the interface. Implicit time advancement was used with the well-known TDMA (Thomas) algorithm. Spatial and temporal temperature variations were plotted at each time step to represent the importance of thermophysical properties. The total heat transfer and rate of heat transfer were also monitored.
