Chinese Pangolin Optimizer: A novel bio-inspired metaheuristic for numerical optimization, engineering design, and feature selection
A novel bio-inspired metaheuristic algorithm called Chinese Pangolin Optimizer (CPO) was proposed in this paper. The inspiration for the CPO algorithm comes from the unique hunting behaviors of the Chinese pangolin, which include luring and predation behavior. These behaviors are reflected in five key stages and are influenced by factors such as aroma concentration, aroma trajectory, physical energy fluctuation, and random walk. By employing mathematical modeling, we successfully simulated these behaviors and analyzed the convergence of the CPO algorithm using Markov theory.
