Pegasus is a transfer matrix modeling application developed by Ryan Pinard and Suman Gunasekaran in the lab of Andrew Musser at Cornell University. The app allows you to build layered structures of materials defined by wavelength-dependent complex refractive indices inputted by the user. The wavelength- and angle-dependent reflectance, transmittance, and absorbance of these structures can then be modeled. Additionally, experimental absorbance spectra can be uploaded by the user and converted to complex refractive indices using the Kramers-Kronig relations or the Lorentz oscillator model.
(This program has nothing to do with the spyware of the same name.)
