Soccer league optimization-based championship algorithm (SLOCA): A fast novel meta-heuristic technique for optimization problems
The natural and social aspects of human collective behavior and teamwork sports have led to the introduction of optimization algorithms in solving engineering and scientific problems. Meta-heuristic algorithms have gained popularity in solving complex real-world problems. This study proposes a new meta-innovative algorithm called the Soccer League Optimization-based Championship Algorithm, inspired by soccer teamwork. The algorithm consists of two main steps: qualifying competitions and main competitions. To evaluate its effectiveness, the algorithm was tested on six benchmark mathematical functions and two engineering design problems. The results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm outperforms well-known algorithms in terms of consistency, convergence speed, and achieving optimal solutions. This document presents a simplified version of the optimization algorithm.
