Increase model coverage using Simulink Design Verifier incrementally

This app assists you in increasing the model coverage interactively using Simulink® Design Verifier.

Installation

Before proceeding, ensure that the below products are installed:

• Simulink Design Verifier
• Simulink Coverage

Install this application using following steps:

1. Download “Test Suite Extender.zip”
2. Extract zipped file contents
3. Double-click file “Test Suite Extender.mlappinstall” to install MATLAB app in My Apps section

Getting Started

A test suite is a set of test cases used for measuring the model coverage. Simulink Design Verifier automatically generates test cases. This tool assists you to

1. identify model items with missing or incomplete coverage, and
2. augment your existing test suite with additional test cases using Design Verifier

This app offers the following novel features.

1. It updates existing Design Verifier MAT-file with additional test cases.
2. It identifies model items that require your attention. Typically, these model items are associated with coverage objectives that adversely impacts automatic coverage improvement.
3. It suggests and accepts seeds in Excel file format – which are user-written, temporary test cases that serve as a reference for Design Verifier test generation algorithm. Design Verifier mimics, and tweaks signal values from seeds as needed to generate additional test cases.
4. It implements following incremental workflow using simple and intuitive wizard.
