IEEE 5-Bus System Model

The IEEE 5-Bus System Model is a widely used benchmark for power system analysis. It consists of five buses interconnected by transmission l
The values of positive sequence and zero sequence resistance, inductance, capacitance, and transmission line length are calculated and tabulated in Table 2 using a (appropriate) base MVA of 100 MVA (Sb) and a base kV of 230 kV (Vb) using basic per unit principles of impedance calculation. The length of the transmission line from bus-1 to bus-2 is calculated as follows. R=0.02 , X=0.06 , B=0.06 (According to the data sheet) Transmission line length =((√𝑋∗√𝐵) /2𝜋𝑓 )∗ (𝑉𝑒𝑙𝑜𝑐𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑜𝑓 𝐿𝐼𝐺𝐻𝑇 𝑖𝑛 𝑘𝑚/𝑠𝑒𝑐)
Length of transmission line =47 km
