This work is a part of my M.Tech project titled "Performance analysis of Grid-Tied Rooftop Solar PV Systems". The App, Performance Analyser has been designed using MATLAB App Designer for analysing the performance of existing grid-tied RTSPVS. Studies were carried out for an existing grid-tied 2 kWp RTSPVS installed over the roof of Measurements and Instrumentation Laboratory at Department of Electrical Engineering at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, India (VNIT). The app calculates the technical parameters such as energy generated by the array ,energy injected to the grid, yield, system loss, collector loss, Performance Ratio, etc. Apart from the technical parameters, app calculates the curtailment amount of CO2, NOx, SO2 and ash. The inputs required from the user are: capacity of the existing system, PV Module parameters such as rated power, open circuit voltage, tilt angle and area and Inverter parameters such as power rating and input voltage. This app gives the estimate for the input data fed and can be customized as per users location.
The app has been developed as a part of research and presented in 2022 OPJU International Technology Conference on Emerging Technologies for Sustainable Development (OTCON) (8-10 Feb, 2023)
