This MATLAB Live Script provides an introduction to MATLAB including command syntax, numbers, precision, arrays, operators, characters, strings, structures, tables, symbols, functions, coding errors, plots, and symbolic algebra and calculus. Essential laboratory data analysis skills illustrated here include data import and export, computing means and standard deviations, histograms, plots and fits, and combining data. The script also teaches a few fun things like how to encrypt messages, and how to import and play with image data.
This script may interest students and instructors in physics and other fields. Try this suggestions are provided to test understanding, with solutions offered but commented out. Additional education Live Scripts by the author are available here.
