In this, the DC Motor is considered for position control using discrete-time PID.
This is an undergraduate experiment in the course of Control System II of the Electrical Engineering Program of Pune University.
Title: Design and analysis of digital position control system.
Learning Outcomes: After the successful completion of this experiment, students will be able to
1. Systematically model a physical system using differential/difference equations
2. Verify the system performance using the software.
3. Design controller and evaluate closed-loop performance.
Aim: In this experiment, the DC motor is considered for the analysis. Aims of the experiment are
1. To obtain the transfer function of the system using differential equations.
2. To obtain the Z-transform of the same system and compare responses.
3. To design a PID controller for the system and obtain the overall transfer function.
4. Finally, evaluate the closed-loop performance of the system.
