We do not expect ThingTweet to work again in the forseeable future.

Please your help to confirm if this issue was solved or if the changes on Twitter (X) side are permanent and ThingTweet will not work again. Thanks.

Hi all,

Recently, @michio has shared a GitHub repo which provides scripts to tweet with Twitter API v2. He used MATLAB and Python together, especially used "Tweepy" library. The automation part is done with GitHub Actions.

We have determined that Twitter has changed their API without notifying users. Right now we are considering what options we have for continuing the ThingTweet service.

As a potential work around, you might consider using IFTTT. They have a post to twitter feature, though it is not free. You can use thingHTTP from your device, and then ThingHTTP can run MATLAB code, using webread or webwrite that will trigger the IFTTT service via their API.
