I'm beginning this MATLAB-based numerical methods class, and as I was thinking back to my previous MATLAB/Simulink classes, I definitely remember some projects more fondly than others. One of my most memorable was where I had to use MATLAB to analyze electrocardiogram (ECG) peaks. What about you guys? What are some of the best (or worst 🤭) MATLAB projects or assignments you've been given in the past?

I'm excited to be starting this MATLAB-based numerical methods class! As I reflect on some of my previous experiences with MATLAB and Simulink for nbi online, a few projects really stand out, both for the challenge and the learning involved. One of the most memorable for me was a project where I had to analyze electrocardiogram (ECG) peaks using MATLAB. It was fascinating to see how signal processing techniques could be applied to real biomedical data, and it really helped solidify my understanding of both the math and the software.

My best project was using Simulink to develop a compartmental model of inflammation and the results were awesome but not exactly as I wanted.😢😢 However Matlab makes everything easier and I love it.

My favorite project was when i designed a heart rate detector sensor using matlab code to control the threshold for heart rate .

Definitely one of my favorite projects I have done in Matlab has to be when making a function program that allows you to use Riemann sum to solve any function that would be possible. It was a very creative project that got me to delve into the depts matlab and how you can code/program. This was my big project in my Numerical Analysis class.

My favorite assignment was plotting the torque - slip characteristic curves corresponding to various speed control methods of induction motors for my Electric Machines and Power Electronics class last quarter.
