Hello! I just wanted to know did MathWorks receive my answer about the selection of the T-shirt prize? Has it been shipped yet?

At least now the system has been fixed.

Congratulations to all the winners right above me.

from the biggest loser of the contest.

The losers are the quitters and those who give up from the first try. Definitely you are not one of them. The last couple of weeks, I witnessed your epic sprint. You are indeed a "Cunning warrior" and a brilliant coder. For me we are in the same rank thus I tip my hat to you.

I don’t even know what’s happening anymore...

Honestly, I didn't understand what happened either. It looks like some players have stored a battery of answers a long time ago, they just made a script to inject them at once. that's what explains the failure in server lately. Alas, all my hard work gone in vain!

Turns out yours did not go in vain.

You have been solving questions via hard coded solutions, even for the easiest problems out there. Hard work indeed

Very hasty pal, judging others could bring some relief for those how cannot explain their failure, but for a contender whose activities were frozen during the month November I would recommend Problem 1394 Prime Ladders & Happy new year &

My Cody points got deducted by over 2000. What’s the matter here? Is this a server problem?

What a Christmas surprise. UGH!!

I guess Payam Morsali's and others' spam questions were deleted by the moderators. In case you might have attempted those, your points from those questions will not be considered anymore.

Just wondering, how are the raffle winners decided?

Chen Lin

Hi Dyuman. Each rated problem equals one raffle ticket (no matter that problem is solved before or during the contest). For example, there are 3 players. Player 1 has 10 raffle tickets, Player 2 has 5 raffle tickets and player 3 has 5 raffle tickets. The chance for Player 1 to win is 10/(10+5+5)=50%. Hope that's clear to you.

(edited) I noticed you ranks 10th place on the leaderboard. Great job!

Thank you for the reply, Chen. I was just curious to know about the winners. Thanks! Also I want to ask that can anything be done regarding the repeated questions? There are so many old and simple questions being repeated recently, I think people are opting for an easy way to earn points.

Hi Dyuman. We will monitor the forum and delete repeated or poor-quality Cody problems. Players will be warned or even disqualified if they keep gaming the system. Meanwhile, we encourage Cody users to report the cheating behaviors to us using the Web Site Feedback . (Select "MATLAB Central" from the category list). This will greatly help our administration work.

Appreciate the reply and the work Cody team is putting up! Thank you!

@Chen, I was wondering if it possible to introduce a report button to problems so that users can report it directly to the mods if there is a problem/discrepancy with it, rather than users commenting and having moderators find each problem individually and then fixing them?

This is a great idea, Dyuman. Actually, we have been thinking about adding moderation features to Cody. I will bring it to the team.
