Christmas is coming earlier and earlier each year. Thanks to rampant commercialism and Christmas Creep, "The Twelve Days of Christmas" song has been changed. Your job is to figure out just how many gifts you would need to get your true love if Christmas were X days, instead of 12.
The same pattern of gift giving will follow, so you would get a single partridge in a pear tree on days one through X, two turtle doves on days two through X, three French hens on days three through X, and so on all the way up to X special gifts only on day X.
For reference, the original 12 days of Christmas gives you a total of 364 gifts, which is one for every day of the year except Christmas. I've always found that quite amusing.
Great!
