Need a loading screen animation while my GUI in guide matlab2014a runs in background.

I am making a GUI using GUIDE in MATLAB 2014a(company issue, no option of upgrading).
The background code is fairly long, and takes minutes to complete. I need to add a loading screen animation till the process is complete so that, the user does not prematurely close the program.
I did not find a single paper, or reference or video on how to do this. Please help.
