Maximum Number of signals in SignalBuilder

I'm currently trying to find a document that states the maximum number of signals that can be used in SignalBuilder. I used a script and signalbuilder([], 'CREATE', TIME, DATA); to find this number manually(lower ML2008 1091, higher/equal 1637), but having some sort of official limitation I could cite would be much better.
