He has asked this before ( http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/76541#answer_86216) but apparently I didn't do enough of it for him so he's asking all over again. I'm not sure if he knows how to use imnoise() either - that does have a "Salt and Pepper" option, which adds pure white and pure black noise.
