An ablation study is a commonly used method in machine learning and computational experiments to understand the contribution of individual components of a model or system to its overall performance. Essentially, you remove or "ablate" parts of the and observe the effect on performance.
So, it can be done by removing features from your input data, disabling certain components of an algorithm and removing layers from a neural network. You can use ‘removeLayers’ function to remove layers from neural network and compare the performance of each ablated model to the baseline model. This comparison will help you understand the impact of each component on the model's performance.
