Error: Installing MATLAB Drive Connector (macOS)

4 views (last 30 days)
I uninstalled the prev version of MATLAB Drive Connector by deleting all related files/folders.
Then I tried to install the latest version(1.5.0.11) by downloading the .dmg file from the official website.
After mounting the disk, when I tried to run the installer, I got the following message:
"An unexpected error has occurred. To resolve this issue, contact Technical Support."
I tried to delete all the files, again, and repeated this procedure at least 3 times.
But the problem seems to persist.
Is there any solution to this?
Thank you!
My macbook is on macOS Catalina (Ver 10.15.4)

The issue can be temporarily addressed in the following way:
  1. Go to the connector download page or just Click here
  2. Click the "mathworksservicehost_1.11.0.5_maci64_installer.dmg" and start the installer
  3. DO NOT CLICK the "InstallMathWorksServiceHost" and instead, right click it and select "show package contents"
  4. Direct to "Contents---bin---maci64" folder, and click the executable file "UninstallMathWorksServiceHost"
  5. Return the folder "Contents", and then direct to "MacOS" folder, Click "InstallMathworksServiceHost" and the connector will be automatically installed

This looks like an installation issue, I would suggest you to reach out to Mathworks Support:
