Can I get an email message from Twitter by sending a ThingTweet status message?

I was able to send a ThingTweet from my Laptop to my Twitter account, and I see the message in my Twitter profile page, but I would like an email notification.

Would there be any reason the ThingTweet message was prevented from providing the email notification?

Yay, figured it out myself (well with a little help from my nephew who knows Twitter). Follow the ThingTweet account and click the small bell.

Posting a Tweet to your account and then getting emailed by Twitter is quite the roundabout way :).
