App Designer uitable changes appearance after data update

Hi,

I setup a empty uitable in App Designer as follows:

I'm happy with the appearance and it's consistent with other table on the figure with respect to font name and size of the column headers/names.

Then after setting it's data property to a matlab table data source, it changes it's appearnace to:

The column header/name font appears smaller and the columns appear wider becuse a horizontal scroll bar appears.

When checking font name/size properties they are the same as prior to setting the data property and so are the column widths.

Is the a remedy to this issue please?
