I would like to use a logarithmic y axis for a bar chart.
This goes with the command
set(gca,'YScale','log')
Now I want to adjust the scaling of the axis using different bases (10, 20 ...).
Is there a way to do this in Matlab?

I interpreted OP's question to mean he wants to change the base of the logarithm (base-10 log, base-20 log, etc), rather than setting the value of the baseline of the bars.
In that case, I think the answer is no. All one can do is to plot the logarithm of the data on a linear axis.

If that is the intent, then yes. You could with a lot of effort, create your own log scale axes object, but would be sizable effort for more than the most rudimentary.
