How to increase the memory of MATLAB on a 32-bit machine running Microsoft Windows Vista SP2? I typed 'memory' in matlab and it displayed:
Maximum possible array: 946 MB (9.924e+008 bytes) Memory available for all arrays: 1698 MB (1.781e+009 bytes) * Memory used by MATLAB: 1148 MB (1.203e+009 bytes) Physical Memory (RAM): 3325 MB (3.486e+009 bytes)
Thanks.

See the Memory Management Guide. In particular, the 3GB switch may be of interest to you.
