I don't know why are you using these type of comparisons. Not wrong, but they don't accomplish anything.

Also please elaborate your question. What is d ? What are g and f ?

I don't understand your description, it's very unlikely you need a loop.

Note that:

if condition
    %...
elseif ~condition  %opposite of if cndition
    %...
end

is better written as

if condition
    %...
else   %we're guaranteed that condition is not true if we're here. No point testing for it
    %...
end

and also note that

g(i) >= g(i) + 50

is a completely pointless test, g(i) is always going to be exactly equal to g(i) unless g is a function that returns random values (and in that case, relying on side effects in a comparison expression is a terrible programming practice!)

Using a loop won't gain you anything. It will just result in slower and more complicated code.

It's still unknown what you are trying to achieve. "If it's true", if what is true? As both Chimnay and I wrote, the condition you wrote is nonsensical (it's always false).
