Electro Mechanical Actuator model using BLDC motor

Hi

I am designing an EMA(electromechanical actuator) using BLDC motor regarding which i have few questions Can i use Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor with trapezoidal back EMF in place of BLDC motor. If yes for mechanical input option should i select speed or torque.

if your input is mechanical mean select as TORQUE.
