Intersection of a Sphere and Circle

Hi,
1. Can anybody tell me what is the intersection of a sphere and a circle (i.e how many points can we get)?
2. Also, for the case of four intersecting spheres, can I explain it by saying "the intersection of two spheres is a circle" and "the intersection of two other circles will be an other circle". So, the intersection of four spheres (that is two circles) will be "TWO POINTS"?
I am highly confused. I will appreciate any kind of help in this matter.
