MANOVAL multivariate statistical analyis ANOVA

I am trying to use the MANOVAL function and am getting this error:

Undefined function 'manoval' for input arguments of type 'double'.

I am calling the function like this:

manoval(glyphDiscriminantData,class)

glyphDiscriminantData is a 20x15 matrix with 15 median variable points (columns) per the 20 trials (rows). The class vector is the output from a linear discriminant and classifies the glyphDiscriminantData into four groups... i.e. [1 3 2 2 3 4 1 ...], length 20, the number of rows in glyphDiscriminantData.

What seems to be the issue here?

The name of the function is manova1, with "one" at the end, not "L".
