Is it possible to use brushed data from plot to be used in the same matlab code for further processing?

I am relatively new to matlab.

I have written a program which generates a couple of plots. I want to use a set of data from the plot (selected using data brushing) to use as arguments in the same program.

In other words. How can I use the brushed data in the same matlab program which generated the plot?
