Segmentation on brain tumour images??

I need your help..ı have a project on matlab but I m on stack..

check this link please..ı want to split tumour area from whole brain area then ı want to calculate tumour area and etc..

I would check out BlobsDemo on the File Exchange to get an overview of different segmentation approaches and how to calculate region information.

Hi Serdar,

Although you emailed me personally, the general etiquette around here is that all communication should go through the forum. This has advantages for both you and I: First, it allows other contributors to this forum who are much better than I at Matlab (which is most of them :)) to offer suggestions to you as well. Second, it allows others to benefit from your question-- you are certainly not the first person to do segmentation from medical images, and others can learn from your mistakes.

I already gave you two good places to start learning about image segmentation: the BlobsDemo (in the above posting) and the demos for the Image Processing Toolbox (in response to your (unsolicited) email). I would HIGHLY recommend checking out the Toolbox demos especially--they have demos that describe your problem almost exactly.

That said, your most recent email (shown below) is basically asking me to do your homework for you. While I don't mind writing code for others (for free even--I enjoy writing Matlab code and have never charged for it), I will NOT complete assignments for you. In fact, based on other postings from desperate students, nobody on this forum will do so. You might be able to find someone less scrupulous at one of the freelance coding sites willing to do it for you though. Just know that professional Matlab consulting ain't cheap, so be prepared to open your wallet a good bit.
