Genetic algorithm optimisation via BCVTB / EnergyPlus

Hello, I would like to ask what is the best way in setting up a Genetic Optimisation problem to link Matlab with EnergyPlus via BCVTB. Specifically we would like to know how to perform the GA optimisation provided that: 1. The fitness (objective) function is calculated based on a specific EnergyPlus output .csv file 2. Variables are not directly associated with the fitness function but used by EnergyPlus as inputs for the simulation to be executed. Many thanks in advance nk
