Vertical cross section of winds with wind barbs

I was wondering if someone knows the code to generate this kind of plot. I have to generate plots of vertical cross sections of zonal and meridional winds and I need the code to also have wind barbs, and to be in a type of time series. Any help would be very welcome.

You mean like the quiver() function? Maybe you can upload a picture, or give us a link, to show us what kind of output you want.
