I got a new laptop and want to un-register my MATLAB account off of my old computer and set it to the new one. I already am using the other registration with my desktop. Can you please advise?

How can I register MATLAB and Simulink in my new computer?

Siavosh, it's done at the end of the setup process. Right before the setup program ends it asks you to enter your login information for the Mathworks site and it does it.

From MathWorks Technical Support recently (when I had to deactivate a license after a mainboard change in the same computer):
When MATLAB automatically activates, it registers the volume serial number and the MAC addresses of the machine to your license.
If you cannot access the computer you want to deactivate MATLAB on, you can deactivate the "old computer" that MATLAB registered to by deactivating manually from your MathWorks License Center, since technically it is no longer accessible and can't be deactivated from that specific machine with the specific MAC address.
To deactivate MATLAB from the MathWorks License Center
1. Go to the MathWorks License Center.
2. Select the license you want to deactivate.
3. Select the "Install and Activate" tab.
4. Under the last column, "Deactivate," click the blue X in the row of the 2013 activation.
5. Click the "Manual Deactivation agreement" above the buttons near the bottom of the form.
6. Answer the two questions on the page.
7. Type your name to confirm you that cannot retrieve the deactivation string.
8. Click "Submit Agreement to Deactivate Software" to complete the deactivation process.

Under Windows there is an item under the MATLAB group under the Start menu where you can deactivate an installation. Then install on your new computer and as part of that install you will activate your license on your new computer. You can also do this by logging into the Mathworks web site and looking up your account. If you want, you can call the Mathworks and they'll talk you through it for free.
