GUI - How to make a pop-up figure prevent from modifying anything else until it's closed

In the GUI that I'm programming, a pushbutton makes a figure appear where some stuff can be set. What I would like is that this figure prevents the user from beeing able to modify any other displayed figure until it is closed. I read in the MATLAB help that there's a property that can be set, but I can't find it again. Thanks for your help, Stefano

Thanks for replying. These are nice solutions but I'm quite sure that there is something already existing in Matlab. Something like it happens in Windows when you click on "Options" in some settings, when you can't modify the underlying windows until you close the overlying.

You don't have enable/disable at the figure level, as the first link says.
