How can I plot a graph on a circumference?

Hi everybody, I would like to ask you how to draw a graph on a circumference. I have the displacement on the y axes and the angle on the x axes. I would transform that plot into the circumferential plot that I draw myself and I attache it to the file in the message. Thank you all! Riccardo

Assuming the circle is centered on [0,0]:
angle = 0:0.1:360;
displacement = sind(6.*angle + 4);
radius = 1;
circx = radius*cosd(angle);
circy = radius*sind(angle);
plot(circx,circy); hold on;
dispx = circx .* (radius + displacement)/radius;
dispy = circy .* (radius + displacement)/radius;
plot(dispx,dispy)
axis equal
