stoping the simulink.

Hi, I want to know how can I stop running the simulink model after I press the close button (X ) at the top right corner.

The command to stop simulation is:
>> set_param(modelName, 'SimulationCommand', 'Stop')
However, Simulink does not let you close the model (using the X button) unless the model has not stopped running. So, I'm not sure if I have understood your question correctly.
