Open m file on Windows

I have installed Matlab 2016a in my Win10 PC, when I double-clicked a m file, a new Matlab session was opened but this m file still could not be opened, even I have opened Matlab before. I have tried to used the methods descripted in this site, but they were not work. Can anyone help me? Many Thanks!

Have you tried to open it with Matlab Editor?

Does your file have the ".m" extension?

Does your matlab work otherwise?

You can also send an email to [e-mail] but I really don't recommend it since that will be so very much slower than just calling them on the phone. Installation help is free for everyone including those with the Student Suite.
