Generate a circularly symmetric matrix given the radial distribution

Hi
Given a vector (size S) for the radial distribution, I need to generate a matrix (size 2S) with circular symmetry.
Example, [0 .5 0 1] should give a matrix with a 'light' ringwith radius 2 and 'strong' with radius 4.
I've been using 'iradon', but it seems like use a hammer when one neuron should be enough :-)

Hi
Interesting, but should be simple....
How can you generate a rotationally symmetric image (ie matrix) by giving the radial distribution vector?
Cheers
