how to create a search window in the gui

I'm new to matlab.I have created a uitable with some data .Now I want to create a search window, such that upon entering a data it should search in table and point the corresponding row that contains the data . Could u please assist me with the code.

This is a very general question and there are many different ways to solve the problem. Note that e.g. "find out the equipment name" can mean a variety of things. Can you edit the question to be more specific?
