why bbox in blob analysis has negative values

Hello all I am working on motion based video segmentation, after foreground detection and blob analysis I saved each blob's bbox, some of which have negative values in third place (width), I don't understand how it can be negative. Can someone please explain the bbox with its four values (x,y,width,height)?
