making a new coordinate system in matlab

Hello, I am trying to make a grid of cells for 'gridworld' coordinate system. I am not sure if it is freely available or I have to start from scratch.

What exactly is your question? You can download some related code e.g. from http://horstmann.com/gridworld/ as a short internet search reveals. Note that this code is written in Java, such that I do not see the connection to Matlab. Is there any?

Thanks for your advise. I just thought if there is a way to do this in Matlab. But Java will do. If you have some more resources on how I can modify this, program it, please let me know. Thank you.
