what tool boxes are required for device drivers

One of our requirement is to implement device drivers in matlab. It could be ADC, DAC, Communication protocols like LIN, CAN, KWP, UDS , I@C, SPI etc. so which toolboxes can be used for the same? or s-functions or matlab functions are recommended for the device drivers having no toolbox?
