Somehow I have reset Matlab to that I can only edit one script at a time. Can you suggest what I am doing wrong? Thanks.

What happens if you double-click another filename in the Current Folder panel? Doesn't it open it into a new, separate tab/window? Or does it close the first one and then open the one you clicked on?

You should be able to have multiple Editor tabs available so that you can edit a script in each tab.
In the Editor and with the 'Editor' tab (the other tabs that I can see are 'Publish' and 'View'), click on either 'New' or 'Open' as appropriate to start a new script or open and load an existing one, each in its own tab.
If i'm failing to understand your question, Contact Support and supply the necessary details to MathWorks.

Thanks for your help. I had moved my laptop to a different location (different hook ups,...). I just re-installed my laptop in the original place and found that my editor problems have gone away. Sorry about the distraction. I have no idea why I had those problems with my editor.
