how do I set the electrical parameters of Induction machine (single phase) ?

16 views (last 30 days)
Dear Community,
I am using the simscape electrical Induction machine (single phase) block for my simulation. The default values of apparent power is 180VA. I want to operate it at 2400 VA, 230V and 50Hz. How do I change the electrical parameters? Shall use the per-unit conversion to modify the eletrical parameters?
Kindly suggest

Hi @Jay,

You can just change the machine ratings in the Induction Machine (Single-Phase) block—set Rated Power to 2400 VA, Voltage to 230 V, and Frequency to 50 Hz. If your resistances and inductances are in ohms and henrys, you can enter them directly using SI units. You don’t need to use per-unit unless your data is already in pu or you want to scale everything relative to the base values; the block can handle the per-unit conversion internally if needed.
