matlab does not generate pdf

When I am trying to generate the pdf using the code
publish('Lab1.m','pdf')
It gives me this error:
错误使用 mlreportgen.re.internal.xml.transform.Transformer/transform
Unable to parse input file: "D:\ese 105 introduction to system engineering 电气与系统工程导
\lab1\Lab1\html\Lab1.xml".
Reason: failed to load HTTP resource
.
出错 publish
出错 publish
Please help.

Hi Zeuyan,
You can publish to HTML, open the HTML in MATLAB or any browser and use the print to PDF option to get all the information to PDF.
Also I think you should consider updating your MATLAB to R2024b since this issue doesn’t appear for me on that version.

Hi Zeyuan,
There seems to be no issue with the publish('Lab1.m','pdf') command in latest versions like MATLAB R2024b.
Check if the core XML component is recognized correctly on your machine, please run the following command in your MATLAB Command Window and check if XML component is recognized or not.
>> ver('xml')
